Exclusive Collection Hoop Thrower

A beautiful fusion of the aesthetics of antiquity and modern times - the figure of the "Tire Thrower" by artist Reinhold Boeltzig. In 1909, the Berlin sculptor used this work of art to present the new influences that sporting exercise had on the female ideal of beauty from the end of the 18th century. His sculpture was modeled on the "Ball Player", which had been created twelve years earlier by the artist Walter Schott. Hand-painted and beautifully crafted, the female figure's garment impresses with its realistic drapery. The sculpture shown here has been exclusively decorated with a gold-plated brass rod and ring, which lend the work of art a delicate and subtle splendor.
