Viticulture has been practiced in Meissen since the 12th century. It is therefore not surprising that many of the manufactory's artists were inspired by the luxury drink. In 1785, Johann Carl Schönheit dedicated a figurine to the preparation of the noble beverage in the classicist style. Exclusive, elaborate and richly detailed hand-painted, the amiable people in this work of art are reminiscent of Kaendler's "Gardener's Children". The figurine is a joy to behold, without hinting at the hardships of winemaking. The hand-painted work of art is part of the exclusive collection.
