Lionfish in a blaze of color! - Wall decoration hand-painted and limited!

MEISSEN artist Andrea Mauersberger's idea was to capture the unique beauty of sea creatures in a completely new work of art. For her four-part, limited edition, maritime series of wall decorations, she designed four fish that were hand-painted on individual wall plates.

Highlights in the eyes, incident light reflected on the scales, colors and shades that change with movement. Hand-painted on the Meissen porcelain in overglaze painting, this lionfish is a small work of art for eternity. Each wall decoration in this series therefore combines centuries-old craftsmanship and innovative design. With each limited edition 2021 wall plate, the manufactory is presenting a traditional naturalistic and new painting style for the first time. This style is expressed in the artwork on the clear, minimalist shapes of the modern "MEISSEN^® Cosmopolitan" service. This is also the case with the "Firefish" wall plate.
