Limited Edition Dish Peony with hedge sparrows

Our Earth is a unique habitat full of diversity-from the smallest insects to majestic animals, from the depths of the oceans to the highest peaks. All are equal components of a sensitive ecosystem whose preservation is vital for survival. Bees in particular play an extremely important role in this: often unnoticed, they make a decisive contribution to the stability and diversity of our natural world through their pollination work.

Porcelain painter Julia Nieblack has dedicated an impressive depiction of these tireless "heroines of nature" to an octagonal bowl. Framed by golden honeycomb edges, busy bees bustle around fragrant pink peonies. They are joined by two field sparrows - a bird species that, like many wild bees, is classified as endangered. Their joint presence on the porcelain refers to the fragile balance of our environment, which is increasingly threatened by pesticides, climate change, and the loss of natural habitats.

Nature has always been the greatest source of inspiration for the MEISSEN manufactory. With this bowl, limited to just 15 pieces, it continues this tradition and combines masterful hand painting with a powerful appeal: to preserve the beauty of our earth and protect its diversity.
