The sea god Glaucus saves the lives of shipwrecked people and prevents ships from sinking in the waves. In 1738, Johann Friedrich Eberlein created this sculpture based on an idea by Kaendler for the swan service in the MEISSEN® Exclusive Collection. The breathtaking figure, hand-painted in great detail, whose muscular body rises powerfully and dynamically from the water, presents an openwork confectionery bowl.
