description
On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the death of Johann Friedrich Böttger, MEISSEN honors the inventor of the first European porcelain with the new edition of this pot from the founding period of the manufactory. The jasper porcelain or "Böttger stoneware" discovered in 1706, barely two years before the invention of white porcelain, was used for its shaping. The decorative finish with quilted pattern cut, the pot is based on an original pattern from the Dresden porcelain collection. Already at the beginning of the 18th century such cuts are made by glassmakers. In keeping with this tradition, MEISSEN collaborated with the traditional glassmaker Lobmeyr from Vienna on the new edition of this limited-edition dinnerware. Founded in 1823, the family business is now in its sixth generation.

The limited edition pot made of Böttger stoneware is sure to be the absolute star of any coffee party.
