Porcelain Pendant Crystal Glaze White

Made from 925 sterling silver, this pendant with its modern, round shape encloses the porcelain with a white crystal glaze. Works of art of this kind have a long tradition among the artists of Europe's first porcelain manufactory. This glazing technique was already being used before 1900 and was further developed in the Art Deco style by the Meissen porcelain painter Emil Paul Börner in the 1920s and 1930s. Then, in the mid-1990s, the modeller Ludwig Zepner succeeded in revitalizing the crystal glazes and applying them uniquely to his modern forms. In this way, an ancient technique was further developed over generations and artfully brought into the present with the famous traditional Meissen hand painting. The nuances in the coloring and pattern design bear the signature of the artist, who has brought the pendant to life through its individual design.
