description

A colorful beauty created by the artist Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1741. His works are considered to be leading in the extensive tradition of MEISSEN^® bird figurines. The "Parrot" bird figurine sits on a branch in a typical posture and nibbles on its prey. True to detail, hand-painted and decorated with filigree foliage, it is a shining example of the manufactory's incomparable craftsmanship. With loving details, such as a small beetle, worm and snail, which boldly make their way to the parrot, this bird figurine captivates with its playful grace. The details bring the hand-painted bird figurine to life and are the result of masterful craftsmanship.
