DESCRIPTION & Details
description
In 1739, King Augustus III commissioned an exceptional service as a special gift for Maria Josepha of Austria. For this purpose, master modeller Johann Joachim Kaendler created the first "Snowball Blossoms" - a masterpiece of MEISSEN porcelain craftsmanship that continues to fascinate collectors to this day.

For the "Reimagine Snowball" collection, a classic 18th-century teapot form has been given a contemporary reinterpretation. Just as in Kaendler's time, each blossom is shaped by hand and carefully applied to the porcelain. White Snowball Blossoms, sculptural branches and small, delicately painted birds preserve the connection to the historic original. Generous areas of platinum lend the surface a cool metallic sheen and accentuate its sculptural structure. Vivid blossoms in blue, red, yellow and green provide striking contrasts.

The teapot thus combines historic craftsmanship with a bold modern design, allowing Kaendler's celebrated floral world to blossom in a new guise.
