The "Chinese Water Bottle Floral Decor with Gold Pheasants", hand-painted and limited edition, by Otto Eduard Gottfried Voigt is a vase with gold pheasants hidden among leafy vines, flowers and fruits. The ornate Art Nouveau decoration in cobalt blue underglaze painting is hand-painted with high karat gold on the lower rim and neck of the bottle, attesting to exceptional craftsmanship. Gold pheasants are considered symbols of prosperity, happiness and beauty in Chinese mythology and are the insignia of the empress. This makes the masterful craftsmanship particularly valuable.
