This limited edition figurine "Girl with doll and flower basket" created Paul Helmig in 1911. The realization of the cheerful sculpture is hand-painted in great detail and impresses with flawless Meissen craftsmanship. The depicted figure of the girl is completely engrossed in playing with her doll, a slight smile showing on the young, carefree face of the figure. The limited reissued artwork followed the famous series of "Hentschel children" - a collection of artwork by Julius Konrad Hentschel, who gave each sculpture the magic of lightheartedness and simplicity. He brought the children from the Meissen alleys into the studio, which often resembled a child's room. The cheerful creatures influenced other artists at the manufactory, just as they inspired Paul Helmig to create the sculpture depicted here. A moment of pure happiness, richly detailed and hand-painted captured in pure white porcelain. This work of art is available on a limited basis as part of the 2013 Masterpieces.
