description
The "Wall painting Chinoiseries" shows drawings by Johann Gregorius Höroldt. Hand-painted with scenes of a Chinese everyday life, the mural shows the extraordinary attention to detail. These depictions are particularly significant because they were created from the perspective of an 18th century Central European who never saw the "Middle Kingdom." The artwork is limited.
