The sculpture group "The Evening" from 1861 was created by Johannes Schilling. The latter depicts his outstanding craftsmanship in the form of a sturdy male figure enjoying the pleasant aspects of life after the day's work is done: Wine, woman, music and dance. Hand-painted in subtle colors, a drinking vessel in his hand and a young dancer with a tambourine in her arms, the figure, adorned with a laurel wreath, listens attentively to the lute playing of the girl sitting at her feet. The sculpture is intricately hand-painted and testifies to exceptional craftsmanship. Limited to 10 pieces.
