The group "Don Quichotte and Sancho Pansa" by graphic artist and modeller Willi Münch-Khe from 1929 is inspired by the novel "Don Quijote" from 1605 and originally made of Böttger stoneware. In the novel Miguel de Cervantes tells the story of an impoverished country nobleman who wants to save mankind from evil with his servant Sancho Pansa. Münch-Khe shows the gentleman in armour and a stiff pose on his horse, under which the servant is hiding. With a big gesture and a calming hand movement, the self-proclaimed knight signals that he has the danger under control from which his horse retreats. But despite his determination, he does not see the threat, for he has closed his eyes. Limited to 25 pieces.
