The "Wall Painting Peonies" shows delicate Chinese bush peonies by the painter Otto Eduard Gottfried Voigt from the 1920s. In Chinese culture they are considered a symbol of wealth and happiness, in Japan also a symbol for the life of the emperors. In his new interpretation of the motif, porcelain painter Horst Bretschneider engraves the floral forms into raw porcelain before underglaze painting. This gives the image an attractive structured surface. Additional colourful accents in onglaze painting give it its very own and everlasting magic. Limited to 25 pieces.
