Highly decorative in the play of light and shadow and with extremely graded colour values, all the subtleties of Ernst August Leuteritz's "Vase Rich Flower and Fruit Painting" are reproduced in great detail. The wild roses are almost photorealistic with the finest brush strokes on the extravagant background in deep old pink on the perfectly shaped Baroque handle vase. A bush with gooseberries in the background creates visual depth and the impression of a snapshot from the rural garden. The curved vase shape enhances the sculptural effect. A playful gold shield frames the lush rose bush. The ornaments of 23 carat gold were not only painted but also engraved to underline the preciousness of the vase. Limited to 25 pieces.
