This vase with handles, with which the Meissen manufactory presented itself at the great world exhibitions of the 19th century, goes back to a design by Leuteritz from 1863. Scenes of antiquity based on a design by the painter Eduard Julius Friedrich Bendemann from 1883 served as a model for this work of art. Porcelain painter Lidija Schrenk decorated the motif by hand in high-quality limoges painting. In this process, white paint is applied layer by layer with the finest brushstrokes to the fired glazed porcelain, which has been given a sharp fire blue. Depending on the thickness of the applied layer, more or less translucent areas and overall wonderful translucent images are created.
The result is a unique work of art which is of course offered in limited edition. This hand-painted vase serves as a real eye-catcher in any sophisticated interior design.
