Sculpture group "Chinese woman with parrot" is a figure modeled by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1740. It is charmingly hand-painted. His impressive craftsmanship shows the fashion of the time: "chinoiseries" were in vogue at the beginning of the 18th century. Painting and sculpture, wallpapers, silk works and numerous novels transported to an exotic fairy tale realm. The figure is intricately hand-painted with a delicate floral decoration. Golden accents complement the fantastic craftsmanship. Limited to 50 pieces.
