description
Magnificent work of art from Meissen porcelain - sculpture limited & hand-painted.

The limited edition figurine "The Noon" from about 1861 was created by Johannes Schilling. The artwork is composed of three hand-painted, human representations.

The noon in the form of a bearded young man with a halo of rays in his curly hair. With his right hand his figure holds up a laurel wreath. The boy at his side, stretching for it, symbolizes the pursuit of glory in the sculpture. The second youth in the artwork, on the other hand, digs in the earth with a spade without looking up. His figure symbolizes the simple everyday work that produces the fruit that Midday holds in his left hand.

The hand-painted sculpture is limited to 10 pieces.
