The figure "Night" from about 1861 was created by Johannes Schilling. Like darkness, the female figure of the night has put her long cloak, held in her hair by a crescent moon, over a slumbering boy to her right. From her left side the winged Greek god Morpheus bends over and whispers sweet dreams to the sleeper. Finely painted facial features and the harmony of folds and postures underline the vivid symbolism of the group of figures. Limited to 10 pieces.
