Limited Masterworks Lidded Vase Eternal Spring

One can almost hear the lively birds hopping among the branches and welcoming the awakening of spring with their song. Around them unfolds a sea of delicate Snowball Blossoms - a fleeting natural beauty preserved forever in MEISSEN porcelain. Johann Joachim Kaendler first employed this exceptionally elaborate form of decoration in 1739 on service pieces commissioned by the Electress of Saxony. Only the exceptional quality of MEISSEN porcelain made it possible to create such finely detailed sculptural structures within the smallest of spaces.

To this day, every individual Snowball Blossom is shaped and carefully applied by hand by MEISSEN's skilled artisans. In this way, the flower is granted a second existence - just as white, light and graceful as in spring, yet everlasting. The "Reimagine Snowball" collection takes this historic masterpiece of craftsmanship and translates it into a contemporary design. Generous areas of platinum lend the Chinese vase form a cool metallic sheen while accentuating its sculptural surface.

Vivid blossoms in blue, red, yellow and green create striking accents, while white Snowball Blossoms, sculptural branches and finely painted birds preserve the connection to the historic original. Thus, the vase allows "Eternal Spring" to blossom in a new guise and demonstrates how MEISSEN's distinctive craftsmanship remains alive through bold reinterpretation.
