description
Explosive, eccentric, surreal yet comical, and at the same time deeply rooted in tradition: with the handled vase "Exotic Dreamworld," the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory presents a work of art that playfully bridges more than 300 years of European art history.

The form of the vase, designed around 1880 by Ernst August Leuteritz, provides the historical foundation for an aesthetic reinterpretation. Within this framework, David Torres developed the design concept, reimagining the classical Toile de Jouy-those monochrome, copperplate-like textile patterns of the 18th century-in a surprising and contemporary way. The execution of the painting and decoration was carried out with masterful craftsmanship by Lidija Schrenk.

The once idealized scenes of French country life are transformed into an exotic, surreal dreamscape. Also unusual for the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory are the chosen background colors, particularly the bold combination of intense yellow and vibrant pink from the Urban Colors Collection. These modern hues, whose recipes have been developed in Meissen's in-house laboratory since 1720, remain to this day closely guarded secrets of the manufactory.

The handled vase "Exotic Dreamworld" is thus far more than a vessel: it is a manifesto of artistic freedom, enriching Meissen's classical porcelain artistry with striking irony and contemporary esprit-a collector's piece uniting history, imaginati
