The four seasons in their various representations have always been a popular theme in the history of MEISSEN. This vessel by Johann Joachim Kaendler, probably created around 1735, is therefore also quite typical. This limited edition sculpture represents a wicker basket made of porcelain, in the popular romantic-rural style and decorated with Kaendler's famous figures - the seasonal heads. Porcelain painter Holger Schill revisits the theme in the form of various seasonal symbols such as ears of grain, ivy and foliage leaves, and wine, creating a link to Kaendler's sculptural design.
