description
Limited to just 25 pieces, the tea set "Graphic Scenes after Höroldt", based on the Vitruv form, unites masterful craftsmanship with timeless elegance. With delicate painting by Victoria Schmidt, the ensemble brings together Meissen's classical tradition and a contemporary design language, resulting in a creation of extraordinary refinement.

Since its founding in 1710, the MEISSEN porcelain manufactory has embodied a unique synthesis of artistic tradition and innovation. As the oldest porcelain manufactory in Europe, it preserves a rich heritage of craftsmanship - not as a rigid dogma, but as an ever-inspiring foundation for contemporary yet timeless works such as this tea set.

The Vitruv service form is defined by its clear lines, modern geometry, and precise detailing, providing the perfect stage for painting in the tradition of Johann Gregorius Höroldt. Finely executed scenes of elegantly dressed Asian figures and imaginative landscapes reflect the Baroque fascination with the exotic, particularly with distant China.

The tea set celebrates Höroldt's aesthetic in monochrome sepia painting, a demanding technique in which all shades and nuances must be created from a single color. Cups, teapot, and plates depict various moments of the ancient Far Eastern tea tradition: from drying the leaves to careful infusion and finally the enjoyment of the beverage - a ritual regarded in 18th-century Europe as both exotic and precious.

The result is a work that impressively unites inherited knowledge with contemporary aesthetics. The tea set "Graphic Scenes after Höroldt" stands as a living symbol of German art history - steeped in tradition, yet always evolving.
