Die Nuß auf dieser Dose scheint echt, und das abgebildete Gemüse sieht aus, als könne man es anfassen und hineinbeißen. Ja, eigentlich wirkt es sogar appetitlicher als manches, was im Supermarkt angeboten wird. Hier zeigt die zeitgenössische Früchtemalerei der Manufaktur, was sie kann. Dabei ist das ganze Stück eigentlich Patchwork. Die Dose ist nicht modern, sondern 18. Jahrhundert. Und von der Nuß weiß niemand, wer sie wann zu welchem Zweck formte. Aber die geübten Hände der Manufakturisten vereinen alles mit kühnem Schwung zum Gesamtkunstwerk.
